Paris, 11, offered the words of comfort to British Oliver! star Mark Lester, one of Jacko’s oldest friends.
Mark, 50, who is godfather to the singer’s children Paris, Prince Michael, 12, and Blanket, seven, said he was stunned by her amazingly mature reaction.
He said: “Paris told me ‘Mark, don’t worry. Daddy has gone to live with the angels now. Can we still come and stay with you?’ Paris was incredibly strong and consoling and pleased to know that all of them are welcome to stay with us at any time.”
Mark also played down suggestions that the 50-year-old singer, who will be buried today hours before a star-studded Los Angeles memorial service, was suffering from anorexia when he died from a heart attack almost two weeks ago.
He told Hello! magazine: “Michael certainly wasn’t anorexic when I last saw him. He was slim, probably about 11st. He always ate small meals when he was preparing for concerts.”
Mark said Jacko was excited about his comeback concerts in London.
He added: “I’d never seen him so invigorated or alive. He was excited in that kind of way he had which was enchanting.”
Mark, who was nicknamed Applehead by Jacko, also rubbished claims that the star was deeply in debt. He said: “Quite the opposite. He never spoke to me about money but the last time I was with him he had just ordered six new Lincoln 4x4s as family run-arounds.
“When we spent Christmas with Michael in Bahrain, immediately after he was acquitted of child abuse, we returned with 22 crates of gifts including everything from iPods, phones, digital cameras, computers, laptops and PlayStations to trampolines and water slides for our garden.”
Mark also said he believes Michael’s youngest Blanket may one day follow in his footsteps. He added: “Prince loved Thriller, Paris liked Smooth Criminal best and Blanket adored them all.
“He could easily be the next Michael Jackson. He loved to dance with his dad and Michael taught him to do the moonwalk.”
